Stand & booth design and build

Exhibition stands that read from across the hall

AWJ designs and builds exhibition stands, pavilions and stages in Riyadh and across the Kingdom — from the first concept and 3D visual through technical drawings, production, installation and dismantling. Built on architectural restraint, so the brand is what people see, not the stand.

The problem

Most stands lose the brand inside the stand

An exhibition hall is a competition for attention, and the instinct is to fill every surface. The result is a stand so dense that a visitor walking past at three metres per second reads nothing at all. We design the opposite way: one idea, held at scale, with enough emptiness around it that the eye lands where we want it to.

What we build

Stands, pavilions and platforms

Exhibition stands

Shell-scheme upgrades through to custom island stands, built around sightlines and the route a visitor actually walks.

National & corporate pavilions

Large-footprint pavilions over 3,000 square metres, with internal zoning for meetings, display and hospitality.

Stages & platforms

Conference stages, keynote platforms and press backdrops engineered for camera as much as for the room.

Modular reusable systems

Frames and graphics designed to be rebuilt at the next show, so the second exhibition costs a fraction of the first.

How it runs

From brief to dismantled, in six steps

01 – 06
01

Brief & objectives

What the stand is for: product launch, lead capture, government presence or brand statement. The objective sets the plan, not the floor size.

02

Concept design

Two or three directions presented as sketch concepts, so the direction is agreed before anyone invests in detail.

03

3D visualisation

Photoreal 3D of the approved direction from visitor eye level, including lighting and finishes, so there are no surprises on build day.

04

Technical drawings

Construction drawings, rigging and load calculations, electrical layouts, and the documents the organizer and Civil Defence need to approve the build.

05

Production

Joinery, printing, flooring, lighting and AV produced and pre-assembled in the workshop, then quality-checked before it leaves.

06

Install & dismantle

Delivery, installation, supervision through show days, then dismantling and site clearance within the organizer deadline.

Finish level

Materials that survive the hall

Exhibition builds take abuse: forklifts, hundreds of hands, and a dismantle crew working against the clock. We specify accordingly — and we would rather tell you a finish will not survive four show days than deliver something that looks right only in the 3D.

  • ▪Carpentry and joinery with concealed fixings and site-repairable edges
  • ▪Large-format print on tensioned fabric or rigid panel, colour-matched to brand standards
  • ▪Architectural and accent lighting integrated into the structure rather than clipped on
  • ▪Raised flooring with cable management, ramps and compliant edge treatment
  • ▪LED screens with structure sized for the real load, not the brochure weight

Why AWJ

The build is not a separate contract

One team through the hall

Stand build, technical production, hospitality and permits sit in the same company, so the stand is not fighting the AV supplier for power or space.

Drawings that pass

We prepare the technical file the organizer and Civil Defence actually ask for, which is where most first-time exhibitors lose a week.

Dismantle planned at design stage

How a stand comes apart is designed in at the start, which protects both your deadline and the reusable parts.

Questions

Frequently asked

For a standard exhibition stand, four to six weeks from approved concept to installed stand is realistic. Complex double-decker or custom-joinery builds need eight weeks or more. Tell us the show date first and we work backwards from it.
Yes. Nothing goes into production before you have approved a 3D visual and the technical drawings that go with it. What you sign off is what gets built.
Yes, if that is a requirement from the start. We design modular systems with reusable frames and interchangeable graphics, which lowers the cost of every subsequent show.
Yes. Delivery, installation, on-site supervision during show days, and dismantling and removal afterwards are part of the scope, not an extra.
From compact shell-scheme upgrades to pavilions over 3,000 square metres. The method does not change with the size; the detailing does.
Yes. Stand drawings usually need the organizer technical approval and, for larger builds, Civil Defence sign-off. We prepare and submit both.
